Send by Post
Hand over a PDF and an address and have it printed, enveloped and posted, with delivery and returned-mail outcomes reported back to the system that sent it.
Sign-in and licensing are handled centrally by Acumon Intelligence. You will be asked to accept the product terms on first launch.
What it does
- Takes a PDF and a postal address from the calling product and passes them to the print-and-post provider (Docmail).
- Reports what became of each letter: accepted, posted, delivered or returned.
- Holds the provider's credentials in its own deployment, so a product that posts needs no print account of its own.
- Marks every mailing as a test unless a live-mode sign-off has been recorded.
What it will not do
- It does not know why a letter is being sent, who the recipient is to the sender, or what the document concerns.
- It does not keep the document once the provider has accepted it.
- It does not post real letters by default: live mode needs a recorded sign-off, and posting costs real money.
- It does not let a person upload and send a letter by hand yet; today it is called by other Acumon products.
